A van driving through a vast desert landscape at golden hour

You give a lot.
This is for you.

Beautiful places. A little adventure. And just enough intention to turn a group of strangers into something more.

Permission to Step Away

You carry a lot.

You're the one who handles it. The schedules. The decisions. The people who depend on you.

You hold it together beautifully — and quietly wonder when someone will take care of you.

What if you could set it all down for a few days?

Imagine arriving somewhere where
everything has already been
thoughtfully planned.

Friend of a Friend creates four-night escapes for women who want to get away — without having to find someone to go with.

We choose extraordinary homes, plan a few unforgettable experiences, gather around really good food, and thoughtfully create moments that make connecting feel natural.

There's structure when it helps. Space when you want it. And absolutely no pressure to participate in everything.

This is a vacation. We've just thought a little more carefully about the people you'll share it with.

Designed for Connection

We don't leave the chemistry entirely to chance.

We don't just put a group of women in a beautiful house and hope everyone clicks.

Each escape has a gentle rhythm designed to make meeting people feel easier — shared meals, a few meaningful moments, adventures worth talking about, and plenty of time to do your own thing.

Nothing forced. Nothing performative. Just thoughtful opportunities to move beyond small talk and actually get to know the people you're traveling with.

We create the space. You decide what grows in it.

The Luxury Isn’t Just the Destination

The luxury isn’t the house.
It’s not having to think.

Why Long Weekends?

Four intentional days.
More rest than an unplanned week.

Our escapes are intentionally designed around three- and four-day weekends.

We know our members have careers, children, aging parents, businesses, and full lives.

A thoughtfully designed long weekend creates enough space to truly disconnect while remaining realistic.

Sometimes four intentional days restore more than an unplanned week ever could.

Our Approach

Thoughtfully unstructured.

The best friendships don't happen on a schedule. But sometimes they need a little room to begin.

We create that room — then mostly get out of the way.

A few things we plan

  • Shared tables
  • Memorable adventures
  • Small moments of connection
  • How we begin
  • How we say goodbye

Plenty we don't

  • Your afternoon
  • Who you spend it with
  • Whether you join everything
  • When you need some space
  • What happens next

A Note From Our Founder

"Where do we go to simply be ourselves?"

I'm a single mom with two kids, two cats, a dog, and a demanding corporate career. Like so many people, much of my life is spent caring for others, meeting expectations, solving problems, and carrying responsibility.

But I didn't always live this way. Before the career, before the meetings, before the school drop-offs and grocery lists, I was a vagabond — traveling the world, chasing experiences, discovering new people.

Questions

What you might
be wondering.

Everything is taken care of — the home, the meals, the schedule, the details. You don't plan, coordinate, or manage. You simply arrive. Activities are optional. Free time is generous. Nothing is expected of you.

Not at all. Most members arrive not knowing anyone. That's the point. You come for the escape — the friendships are the unexpected gift.

A luxury home, chef-prepared meals, thoughtful daily programming, and optional adventures. Transportation, schedules, and every detail are handled. You bring yourself.

That's exactly how most members start. Every escape is designed for individuals arriving solo. You'll be welcomed into a small group in an extraordinary setting.

Joining is free — create your account and you're in, with access to the portal, community, and trip booking. An optional annual membership ($295/yr) extends the experience with early booking access, group invites for friends, referral links, and year-round gatherings.
